I am getting this thing for Christmas. Going to get my parents to pre-order it. I am 26 so not like they get me a bunch of stuff. I'll make this the one thing they get me. And everyone wins.

Yeah baby! AT-AT!!!
Thanks for the above link! After seeing that lil' cutey and the sheer size of it I can no longer resist it (must be the dark side of the force in me ^^)!

I think I've convinced my girlfriend to get me one for Christmas. ^_^
BTW, she's not a big Star Wars fan, but she understands how much I enjoy it.

The price is not what scares me. I am just anxious to see it in game play. I just got back from one of the last stores in my city that has a gaming arena and was most interested in the game mechanics. Truth is, for 50 bucks, I got a whole box full of Mini's. Also, how do you folks transport your Mini's? I read a thread on another board and I bought some "Plano" brand Clear plastic tackle box's. Perfection! It has movable side panels so I can set the width to my own liking.

Yup! Getting one. Purchasing thru a member met on this ver web board. He is making a bulk purchase and we will all share in the cost of purchase and shipping. This board has already saved me money! Woo-hoo!

It's a great piece for RPG and scenario games. But, for just playing a skirmish game. It's too big and costs too many points. It is at 200 points. So, you'd at least need to play a 300 point game. The AT-AT needs support and defense from other mini's. Or it is of no use. The AT-AT says it holds up to 16 figures. Not including if you have an forces already on the ground attacking. Your minimum regular stormtrooper costs 5 points. Not too mention if you want officers, heavy stormtroopers, snow troopers or even Big Bad Vader. I want this piece. I've played against this piece. but, I probably will try to complete current sets and just wait for the Endor pack, COTF and Bounty Hunter's set.

Well, it's been some time since the release of the AT-AT. I finally caved and bought one. I was hoping maybe someone here had an extra map for sale. Or trade.
