It’s been way too long since I’ve had a chance to play SWmini’s (several months to be exact). Had a fun game last night, and enjoyed being able to team up with my son against Chi Avenger.
We opted for a 150 point game, 3 actions. We fielded General Grievous, Jedi Hunter, 2 Droid Body Guards, Gotal Fringer and Super Battle Droids x5 for 141 points. Chi Avenger was running a Republic squad of Shaak Ti, Luminara Unduli, several Clone Troopers, 2 Republic Guards and a Jedi Guardian.
After moving up and positioning our squads the first few chances, we drew first blood taking out two Clone Troopers. The next few turns saw both squads engaging in melee. Grievous took advantage of his four attacks, placing Shaak Ti one hit from elimination. Unfortunately our dice rolls went south, and the SBD’s couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. This was bad news for Grievous, as he still had to contend with Luminara at full health. Despite the General’s best efforts he was soon overmatched and defeated.
It was a fun match (played on the new RoTS starter map) and we all had a good time. Need to brush up on the rules, as I had a tendency to revert to some of the Heroclix rulings that are similar.

Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy hearing play by plays of different games.
Played a game on Vassal last night and ran a Tion Medon and 6 Utapuan soldiers squad.
Played 3 people every man for themselves.
I started on the left hand side of the map (Used Mos Eisley map) and moved slowly up while the other two people pretty much engaged right away. By the time I got my squad into the think of things, the guy that started in the middle was down to Darth Vader. Between the 2 of us, Vader was soon dead and that left me facing Quinlan Vos and R2D2. There was a Yoda in the squad but he was taken out. So R2 dragged Quinlan to my location and with triple attack, Quinlan basically lined me up and chopped me down.
So I learned that while the Tion Medon and Utapuan soldier combo gets you alot of attacks and possibly more activations, low attack bonus and defense makes it hard to hit high defenses or not get hit. Overall not a squad I would recommend.
Good if you just want to have fun and try something different but not if you are considering winning a tournie.
